Lindsey Norris is an experienced tourism industry professional currently serving as Director of Industry Relations with VISIT FLORIDA. She has a heart for customer service and deep passion for the hospitality industry. Lindsey began her career in television news, overseeing news desk operations for Central Florida News 13 in Orlando, FL. She then went onto serve as the Tampa Bay Film Commission Manager executing all feature film, television, photography and production-related special events held within Hillsborough County under the Visit Tampa Bay umbrella. Lindsey also served on the Board of Directors and later as Executive Director of Film Florida, the state’s non-profit industry trade association. It was working for the CVB though that Lindsey honed her hospitality skills. She cultivated her passion for storytelling and was asked to spearhead the National and International Public Relations initiative for Visit Tampa Bay. Prior to her post with VISIT FLORIDA, Lindsey oversaw corporate communication initiatives, strategic messaging, brand development, and public relations efforts for various travel and tourism clients at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, a global PR firm in Coral Gables. She has also served as a Regional Director for Broward County with the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. Lindsey, a graduate of the University of Central Florida, earned a Tourism Marketing Professional (TMP) certification from the Southeastern Tourism Society in 2017 and completed an Executive Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University in 2020. She is a native Floridian passionate about all things Florida, namely the beautiful beaches.
